Sarah Savoy

Born into one of the most distinguished families of Cajun music, Sarah (after a rebellious teenage period in punk rock and a false start as a business executive) rejoined and accompanied the Savoy Family Band at a folk festival in France. There she met David Rolland and they started the band 'Sarah Savoy and the Francadians', whose tour in Ireland two years ago included such events as the Shannonside Winter Music Weekend and John Murphy's Americana Weekend at Carrig-on-Bannow, Co. Wexford. The Francadians toured throughout Europe and recorded four albums, mixing country, rockabilly, rock'n' roll, and punk attitude into their music, whilst retaining a traditional Cajun sound.

Sarah has since earned the titles 'Queen of White Trash Cajun' from FROOTS magazine and 'Princess of Cajun' from a Greek blues magazine.
